Papa John’s biggest Franchisee, PJ Baltimore, wanted to create a new office, to manage their expanding estate, by converting a space above a store in Canary Wharf. The requirements were to create a very modern feel, open office space to accommodate one main office, one conference room, toilet facilities, print room and desk space for 20 people.
We had previously fitted out five stores for them, building up a good rapport so Raheel, the owner, was happy for us to design the site and choose the colours, fittings and flooring. Raheel had a high specification in mind so we concentrated on aesthetics and high quality fittings as much as practicality. For example, the desks and table cost £50k alone and we added high quality wooden flooring rather than basic flooring. The Kitchenette was bespoke, with a handmade granite worktop/sink.
It was a complete fit out so we installed all the walls, ceiling, electrics, sanitary ware, flooring, entrance matting, decoration, IT systems and internal windows as well as the desks, chairs, tables and the kitchen units. We started in October 2015 and it was operational December 19th.
Since it has opened Papa John’s head office staff have visited and used it for promotional videos and training videos. Some of the colour schemes have now been used at Papa John’s main Head Office in Milton Keynes.
